July 5, 2024: Update on Hurricane Beryl and impact to Cancun flights

Customers travelling to and from Cancun today are advised that the impacts of Hurricane Beryl's high winds and thunderstorms may affect their travel plans with the potential for flights to be delayed. Sunwing customers with travel scheduled during this period are advised to sign up for flight alerts and check their flight status for the most up-to-date information. Customers with concerns about travelling to Cancun at this time can also contact the Sunwing Sales Centre at 1-877-786-9464 to discuss their options.

We sincerely thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we safely navigate the effects of Hurricane Beryl in areas throughout the Yucatán Peninsula. Destination entry requirements: Cuba, Aruba, Dominican Republic, Saint Lucia, Jamaica

Note that passengers travelling to Cuba, Aruba, Saint Lucia, Jamaica or the Dominican Republic are required to fill out a government mandated entry form before departure from Canada. QR code proof of completion will be required at the airport. Access and complete the relevant form below before checking in for your departure flight:

Cuba: D’VIAJEROS digital entry form.

Aruba: ED card entry form.

Dominican Republic: E-ticket form.

Saint Lucia: Digital entry form.

Jamaica: Electronic customs declaration form (C5 form).

Note: Upon departure from Dominican Republic, passengers are also required to pay a departure tax of $20 USD in cash at the counters prior to check-in.
