Baggage and seat selection on board WestJet

For Sunwing Vacations package customers travelling on or after May 29, 2025, flights will be on board WestJet. This section includes helpful information regarding baggage policies and seat selection options, as well as related pricing.

Baggage

Sunwing Vacations package customers travelling on board WestJet from November 25, 2025, onwards will be entitled to one free personal item, one free carry-on item and one free checked baggage.

First checked bag for each traveller is on us when travelling on a Sunwing vacation package on board WestJet. E-packages and flight-only bookings excluded. Offer applicable to one checked bag per person. Additional checked bags, as well as oversized checked bags, will incur additional fees.

Book through Manage My Booking or via the Sales Centre up to 24 hours before departure and save money when checking up to two bags. The first checked bag is available for purchase from $45 plus tax, while the second checked bag is available for purchase from $60 plus tax.

Seat selection

Premium and Extended Comfort seats are not currently available. Our flights will continue to operate with an all-economy seat configuration for the summer season.

Sunwing Vacations package customers can pre-select their seats up to 24 hours before departure through Manage My Booking or by calling the Sunwing Sales Centre. Within 24 hours of departure, seats can be selected through WestJet’s web check-in option. Fees may apply for seat selection based on the fare purchased and the location of the seat on the aircraft.

*Pricing of Premium cabin varies based on departing gateway and destination. Price is based on a round-trip for one person. All passengers sharing a room must book the Premium class cabin. Premium Cabin can also be added to existing 7-night package bookings made prior to July 15, by contacting the Sales Centre. Pricing is subject to change at any time and is subject to availability.
