Real Wedding: Dianne & Jason

How it all started

Dianne and Jason’s love story began while working in Toronto, Ontario where Dianne, an interior designer, and Jason, a construction contract manager met on a job site. From the moment they set their sights on each other, it was clear they were the perfect match with Jason drawn to her beautiful eyes and Dianne to his big heart. Jason was quick to make the first move, inviting Dianne to a Toronto Blue Jays game and it couldn’t have gone better – the Jays won the game and Jason won Dianne’s heart.

Planning the wedding

Dianne and Jason both knew from the start that saying “I do” in the tropics was the best choice for them. Having a love of both sunsets (who doesn’t) and Caribbean destinations, Dianne had always dreamt of getting married on a beach and the small number of guests they had planned meant a destination wedding was the right call. The couple quickly decided on Negril, Jamaica for its picturesque location and Azul Beach Resort Negril by Karisma for its stunning beach, all-ages amenities and ideal wedding facilities perfectly suited to intimate gatherings.

Wedding day details

On August 18, 2022, this beautiful couple exchanged vows on the resort’s white-sand beach in front of their loved ones with the hum of crashing waves and a larger-than-life floral altar as their magnificent backdrop. After making it official, the newlyweds and their 50-plus guests made their way to Di Romagna’s striking rooftop terrace for an oceanview reception, where they handed out coconuts branded with Dianne and Jason’s initials and wedding date. Now that’s a fantastic memento and a sweet way to stay hydrated!

Their big day was filled with flowers and decorations in their neutral wedding colours of ivory, green and black with accents in light blush, pink and gold reflective. The destination’s natural beauty simply brought it all together! After heartfelt moments, delicious food and friends and family surrounding them, Dianne and Jason danced the night away under the stars in Jamaica’s paradise. As for a honeymoon, they couldn’t wait to get planning their European adventure, exploring Spain, Mallorca and France in the summer of 2023.

Wedding bands: Infinity diamond band for the bride and a black titanium and gold band for the groom

The wedding party wore: The bride’s party wore dusty rose satin dresses whereas the groom’s party wore pastel blue dress pants from Tip Top Tailors, white button ups, tan suspenders and personalized cufflinks
